Summer in the City

This is the beginning of an amazing summer in Toronto!! The weather has been killer and my weekends so far have been full of fun in the sun!

Here’s what I’ve been up to lately.

Miike Snow concert at the Danforth Music Hall
Day-of Stub Hub dumpster dive resulted in $12 tickets for the Miike Snow concert – who could say no to that?!

Field Trip music festival
My friend Jim and I got 1-day passes to see The National! We also saw Santigold, Boy & Bear and July Talk.

Cycling the Islands.
Another awesome thing about Toronto is that there are 3 islands just a hop, skip and jump away. They have beaches, trails and parks. Ray and I biked from Wards Island to Hanlan’s Point. It doesn’t take very long (maybe 30 mins max) and it’s quite relaxing. LPT: buy & print your island ferry tickets ahead of time, then skip the lines and go straight through the gates to the ferry docks.

What a view!

Patio time post bike ride!

The next few weeks should be just as fun! I’ve got a wedding to attend in Muskoka next weekend, and the weekend after that it’s my birthday and Canada Day. Hope you are all enjoying the weather too!
